Life Updates

So, I'm bored, as I'm sure you can tell.

I'm waiting for Ryan to call so that I can go over to his place so we can finish working on a script that we've been writing for about 8 or 9 months now.

Anyways, I realized we just past the half year mark for 2008, and figured I would give an overall update on what the hell has been happening with me this year.

First off, I'm getting married this year, most of you know this, it's  been in the works for 2 years no, and really 7 years if you count how long Amber and I have been dating.  So needless to say both of our lives have been busy planning that.  Hers more than mine, she has definitely put a lot more work into it than me.  Not by choice, I don't wanna sound like the guy who doesn't care, and won't do anything, but I've just been so scattered the past few months with work, that I have only been able to help out when I am desperately needed.  

But I did pick out the linens for the reception, so I got bonus points on that one.

Our Stag & Doe is coming up as well, which has taken up a lot of time as well.  I wanna send a HUGE thank you to all the members of the Club Richilieu in welland who donated a whole bunch of gifts to our Stag and Doe, it was a tremendous surprise the other day when Amber's parents came home with a truck load full of gifts for us to give away, just incredible.

On the professional end of things, here's a short list of what's happened, and will be happening over the next few months:

1) I've been working for a wedding company this summer, doing a lot of photography and a little bit of video.

2) In June I got hired as Director of Photography for a feature film called Buenas Noches.  The film shot for three weeks in Hamilton and was a great experience, and a lot of fun.   I am hoping to be able to get some footage from them asap so I can add it to my demo reel.

3) Adam and I were working on The Dead, we have since put it on hold.

4) We recently shot a music video for Rachelle Harrison, which needs to get edited ASAP, but we've just been so busy (SORRY RACHELLE, It's coming VERY soon, I'm almost done).

5) We also just made a deal to shoot a music video in Toronto with a friend of mine, and we're looking to shoot that sometime in the middle of July.

6) I am planning on shooting a short film this summer, the short will be the first ten or fifteen minutes of a feature that I am co-writing with someone who is currently going to remain anonymous until further notice.  She is a very talented writer, and will add an unbelievably personal perspective to this story.  The story is about a young girl who comes home from college to find out that her father has remarried and she now has two new siblings.  It's kinda of like The Royal Tenenbaums meets The Big Chill.

7) I also got hired as a shooter for the film Toronto in 24, it's a film that will document 24 hours of one non-specific day in Toronto.  There are several other shooters who will be filming different events throughout the city on July 11th, and it will definitely be a great experience that I am looking forward to.

8) Ryan and I are still working on "Assassination" but it should be done very soon.  He just called, so I'm outta here to go finish it, and drink some beers, and wine.

Sam & Linda Engagement Shoot

Two posts in one day, this is a world record.

I wanted to put up some engagement photos that I did for Sam & Linda.  I thought everyone might be interested to see them.  We did the shoot in Niagara Falls a few weeks ago during one of my breaks from a film I was shooting in Hamilton.  I came home for the weekend and we went out and did these shots on the Sunday afternoon.  It was a beautiful day, a little overcast, but it didn't rain and we were fortunate enough to grab some really great shots, I hope they are happy.

I can't wait to shoot their wedding in August, it's going to be great.

  

 

Updates

So as you have noticed, I've made a few changes to the website.  I want to try and start using this blog thing (that I signed up for about a million years ago), more often.

Anyways, my photo gallery, for some reason still isn't working, I think it has something to do with a new update from Slideshow Pro.  I'm considering trying to find a new program, but not sure what yet, I do like Slideshow Pro, however, I think I need a change.  We'll see if I can even get it working again.

Anyways, I'm gonna try and post more images on the blog as well, and also, there is a link to my flickr page for you to view, but it's kinda cluttered.

Enjoy the new blog, and hopefully I'll post something once every couple of days, or more often if I can remember.
