Then Jess started the makeup for shoot #2, a "gothic wedding", not having a cool location yet, I decided to go out and take a drive to find somewhere to shoot. I drove around Welland for about an hour, until I came across the Rex Motel. Apparently it's not a real motel, I thought maybe they'd have some cool hallway with old vintage worn down red wallpaper, and cool lamps, but apparently they just take off-line bets for horse and dog racing.
After leaving the Rex and diving into a swimming pool full of Purel I headed down the street and stumbled across a very cool old abandoned building that was once called The Welland Club. Not sure exactly what it was, some sort of Club for Wellanders I suppose. But it looked like the perfect place. I snapped a few location shots, and headed back to the mall where Jess was doing makeup on Dara and Ky our two goth models.
I still had some time to kill so I bought some clothes, nothing big, but a pair of jeans, and some shirts I can wear in Mexico on our honeymoon in a few weeks.
I showed the pics to Jess and we headed back to Club De Welland and grabbed some pretty cool shots.
Here's a few samples from the day.
For Photo shoot #3 I headed over to Niagara Falls, and shot musician John Boyd. He needed some press photos for his website and for an upcoming show, I'll post those shots tomorrow.
